Our story begins with a trailblazing force—Leslie King, the founding mother who shattered glass ceilings in the male-dominated world of remodeling in the 1990s.
Armed with a Marketing degree from Sam Houston State University, Leslie's journey started in unconventional territories as one of Imco Services' first female mud engineers. From sales at Marathon Pipe Protectors to management at Marriott, Leslie's diverse career path eventually led her to realty, setting the stage for her ultimate calling -design and build.
In the face of a corporate culture dominated by men, Leslie fearlessly learned the ropes of remodeling, mastering skills from swinging a hammer to perfecting the art of painting. In 2001, Leslie achieved legendary status as the Remodelers Council's first-ever female president, later becoming the Greater Houston Builders Association's (GHBA) second-ever female president in 2015.
Leslie's dedication and innovation were evident within Greymark's walls, and she earned 62 awards during her impactful reign. Recognized as a pioneer by GHBA, Leslie left an indelible mark on Houston's architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) world.
In 2018, Leslie's eldest daughter, Kelly Kirk, joined forces with her mother, bringing financial expertise and a commitment to Greymark's success. When Leslie passed away in 2019, Kelly seamlessly stepped into her mother's shoes, honoring the legacy and embracing leadership.

Kelly wasted no time in stepping up to the plate, becoming the Remodelers Council's third female president in 2023. Today, Leslie's resilience, passion, and strength continue to shape Greymark. As a multi-award-winning design and build firm, we leave our mark across the Bayou City, transforming homes for over three decades and counting.
